While the engine is apart it is a good idea to replace this part. The best way to install it is to put the flywheel in a freezer overnight, and heat the gear with a torch or on the grill. May as well cook some hot dogs and have a feast at the same time! Please note that the beveled side of the gear faces the back of the vehicle when installed.

This arrangement is 16 lb. lighter than the stock Model A The flywheel is resurfaced and cut down, new ring gear, pilot bearing, clutch disc and pressure plate. The benefit of a V-8 clutch is less chatter and less effort to engage! The flywheel and clutch are balanced as a unit. EXCHANGE ONLY; we must have your old Model A flywheel and pressure plate before we can ship one of these units. U.S.A.
