Newly redesigned and American made, the top of the clip has a broken over lip which eliminates the possibility of the the clip rotating and shorting out. Also the bottom of the clip has a bullet stamped into it for better contact and smoother operation. Other clips on the market are just flat. This piece is required when using a modern upper distributor plate with a wireless lower plate. Only works with the type of wireless lower plate like we show. Adapter attaches with no modifications. The reproduction points that have been made from around 2017 to late 2023 are unfortunately made wrong and the manufacturer refuses to correct the problem. The issue is that the distance from the pivot point to the contact is longer than it should be. This is supposed to be 1.210" center to center. Those reproduction points were about 1.248". This point block has been modified in how it mounts to the upper plate to compensate for the length difference and give you a proper alignment of the contacts. U.S.A.
The current points that we now sell work fine with the original style A-12160 point blocks.
