If the float valve on your carburetor doesn't shut off when you shut off your motor, the needle may not be seating properly in the housing to properly shut off the flow of fuel.
Since most carburetor float valves are now the Viton tipped style, you can no longer tap the needle with a hammer to re-seat them. Remove the needle from your float valve body and place the ball in the seat where the needle seats. Give it a light tap with a hammer and you've now created a new seat for the needle to seat and properly seal. U.S.A.
