I have a 1930 Model A. Was told when I got the car to remove the fuse when not driving. Cant I just leave it in all the time..

Some people feel safer doing that, but if there is a short the fuse will blow. The safest way to go is to add a battery master disconnect switch to the car. This way when you are not driving the car you can kill the master switch and it will eliminate all current flowing from the battery.
