How do you install a new top bought from you? The car is a 1930 two door coupe. Thanks, Mike
Before you put anything down, you will need to apply chicken wire to the opening of your roof. Just cut it to fit the wooden frame in the opening and attach it with staples. Attach the sheet of fabric or muslin to the roof opening with staples or upholstery tacks. Lay the cotton padding or foam pad on the top so it is centered. Lay your top decking on the top and center it as well. Start by tacking the two front corners and then stretch the top and tack the two rear corners. Keep tacking and working your way back the top by tacking side to side. Trim excess material and finish off the top material with either the replacement welting that came in your kit or use your original moldings.Date Added: 12/06/04
