I have a Model T steering box with considerable wear for which I wish to purchase new gears and pins. How do I tell whether it is early (high ratio) or late (low ratio)? Brian Gray
The early ratio had 12 teeth on the gear/shaft assembly that the steering wheel attaches to, the later 5 to 1 ratio had 9 teeth.Date Added: 04/18/05
