I have a 29 Pk Up with a 7tooth steering box. Is it best to replace it with a 2 tooth, or rebuild the old 7 tooth.
The 7-tooth columns are very difficult and expensive to rebuild. If you can locate a 2-tooth, they are much easier and cheaper to get rebuilt. If you do change to a 2-tooth steering column, you will have to get a new steering wheel because the wheel you have now is splined and the 2-tooth box used a keyed wheel.Date Added: 02/18/05
