I want to change my rumble lid (hinged at botton) to a trunk lid (hinged at top) What do I need to do this> How do you do it? Is there a kit for this? If so does it come with detailed instructions?

The BM-4 Mechanic Handbook, Volume 2 covers converting a trunk to a rumble seat. You will have to use this book and reverse the process. The first thing you have to change is the curved inner panel. Remove the panel in your body now and install the A-161-ABTR panel. Remove the old rumble hinges and stop kit. If you have a 1930 or 1931, you will need to change the latch mechanism to the A-41604-A. If you have a 28 or 29, you can reuse the latch you have. Relocate the latch mechanism and handle to the opposite side of the deck lid and body work the hole shut where the handle used to be. Install the A-41512-S hinges in the top of your deck lid. Install the A-41518 bumpers in the round holes of the A-161-ABTR panel for the lid to close against. Install the alignment plates in the bottom of the lid opening.
