I have a 1930 Coupe Deluxe with cowl lights and bright & dim head lights. However the far left position on the headlight switch does not work.It appears that the upper portion of the light switch body only has enough room to swing to the first position.

The position to the left should be your parking lights only. At rest, the light switch lever should be pointing towards 6:00. You may have your light switch spider in the wrong position. When the light switch spider is slid over the end of the light rod, the prongs should be at 12:00 and 6:00. Check that first.
