Restoring a 1929 Ford model A 5 window coupe. Found out that the cowl lights were a option,I belive this car had them. My question is did it have a cowl band and or how do they mount to the cowl panel can you direct me to books or photos to make it orig..

The 1929 Coupe did not have a cowl band. Normally about the only cars that had cowl lamps on them were the 4-doors. The cowl lamps did not mount on the cowl panel, they mounted to a brace behind the cowl panel. A-13300-BR is the brace that fits at the top edge of the cowl panel where the tank bolts to it. This brace provided an offset mounting hole in it so the cowl lamps would face forward properly. There was a grommet in the cowl panel where the cowl lamp arm passed through it.
