I have a 1925 Model T. Wich transmission bands are

Which bands you choose has a lot to do with personal preference. Kevlar is actually the closest to the original Ford cotton linings with regards to the softness. Kevlar in my opinion is the best and will last the longest if they are properly adjusted. If they are not properly adjusted, they will create heat and cause damage to the transmission drums. The Scandinavian linings that are made today are not the same as the Scandinavian linings that used to be available. Todays Scandinavian linings are not as soft. They are fine on the drums and are more forgiving if someone does not adjust the properly. Or if you are someone that only drives your car 25 miles a year, these are fine for all the more miles you may put on the T. Wood bands last a long time when properly adjusted. Only down side I have heard on these is that they tend to make a little bit of a whining noise.
