I have a 1930 Model A Fordor Town Sedan which I wish to change from a 6V generator to an alternator. You sell an A-10001-A and an A-1000AHD. Is one preferable than the other and do I simply swap it for the generator.

The alternators that we sell are a direct replacement for the generator so there are no modifications needed. If you are running a lot of accessories and the brighter quartz lamps then I would go to the higher amp alternator, otherwise the 35 amp is fine.
