Can you please tell me how to remove the gas tank in a 1930 2 door sports coupe? I would like to remove the tank and have it cleaned.

You need to first remove the hood, then take the three screws out that are holding the cowl lacing on and remove the lacing. Remove the upper floorboard so you can access the nuts that are holding the cowl band in place and remove the cowl band. Drain the gas. Disconned the battery. Remove the dash panel and disconnect the speedometer cable and all wires that run down through the tunnel under the tank. After all of the gas is drained, remove the gas line that runs from the fuel valve to the sediment bowl on the firewall. Remove the row of bolts at the rear of the tank behind the dash rail and remove the row of pan head screws that hold the front of the tank to the firewall. Remove the clamps that are pinching the gas tank to the cowl panels. Now the tank is ready to be pulled out through the top of the body.
