i have a 1929 a 4 door and the steering colum brackets were mounted to the tank (bad design) now its leaking i have tried various products and nothing works for very long any ideas would be appreciated thanks Tim

Really the only cure is to remove the tank and have it repaired. This is best left to a professional because of the fire risk when welding. The steering column support should be rewelded and then the tank needs to be sealed inside with some type of gas tank sealer.
