I have my recently inherited model A running, however it starts quickly, runs way too fast and when I turn the chock rod in to slow it down it quits. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you. Dan

If it has a high idle, that is controlled by the screw on the end of the throttle lever, not the one on the choke rod. The adjustment on the choke rods is for your mixture. The choke rod adjustment should be about 1-1/2 turns off of the seat when it is cold, and once it warms up you should be able to turn it in some to lean it out.
