HI .ON MY 1925 T THE WHEEL OUTER BRG CAP #T-2836 FITS LOOSE IN THE HUB. THE OLD ONE HAD A TIGHT FIT. IS IT OK TO USE IT ANYWAY? THE BRG IS OK. THE REASON TO REPLACE IT WAS A CRACKED BRG CAP. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
It sounds like your old race was spun and that is why it was cracked. I would suggest trying to find a better hub to use. If you have a good machine shop around you that can weld it and machine it down that would be another alternative. Usually you can pick up a good used hub at a reasonable price.Date Added: 01/30/05
