How much end play should my crankshaft have?
.004" to .007" is recommended. If you have more than this, the babbit may be broken on the rear main bearing cap where the end play is controlled. To overcome this, you either have to install a rebabbitted rear main bearing cap or add the A-6334 thrust style rear main seal in place of the original A-6335 rear main seal.Date Added: 05/18/04
