I have a 29 Coupe, the problem is the passenger door, it comes open whenever it wants. Upon inspection, the latch seems right and so does the striker. You can shut it tightly, but it still pops open. What do I look for to repair it?

I have ran into a similar problem with one of my own cars in the past. The door was aligned properly but the striker would not hold and the latch would allow the door to open. I ended up taking the door striker and extending it so it stuck out more. I did this by laying beads of weld along the edge of the striker and then dressed them down with a file.
