How much movement should the fan have front to back when it is installed on the head?
.006"-.012" movement. This is controlled by where the back of the water pump shaft rides in the head. Years of use and several miles causes the shaft to act like a drill and it drills a hole in the head where it rides. You can either weld onto the end of the shaft, weld the head up, or install a collar to overcome this problem.Date Added: 05/18/04
