How do I disassemble the brake camshaft [from the part that holds the brake rod end] so that I can replace the worn bushing. 1926 Model T. It looks like it takes a driver from left side [facing forward] but will not loosen. Thanks

There is one rivet/pin holding the lever to the brake camshaft. Clean the paint off of the lever and you will find the pin. The pin that was used was just a straight pin the was peened on both sides. Once you find the pin, take a grinder or file to the head so all you have left is the visible shank of the rivet. Normally you will have to center punch it and keep drilling it larger and larger until you brake through the wall of the pin so you can drive it out. Then the lever will come off. Normally it takes some force to get the lever off.
