Hi, I am starting the resto process on my 28 Tudor body. I have finished the chassis and engine. What book do you recommend I get? I need info on the steel (repairs and re-assembly), wood, upholstery, glass, trim, wipers etc. Thanks
Hi, The BM-4 book, Vol II of the Mechanics Handbook has an article for the top wood install. There is not any one book that will help with your other questions however. Those areas have not been covered in depth like the mechanicals have been. The BA-19 Paint & finish guide will cover the paint chips, pin striping,etc. The HB-1 , Model A as Henry Built It, will cover the original upholstery, as well as pictures of the original interiors & trim(black & white photos) You will have to rely on research on other cars at shows, etc & your digital camera to document the other areas that you have questions on.
