This bracket attaches to the bottom of the door towards the rear edge. They hold the square bumper with the tapered sides in place. The clip with a hole is used on wood framed doors and is held in place with a flat headed wood screw. The other style without a hole is used on steel doors. These were spot welded to the bottom of the door originally. U.S.A.
